An Update on Us

Everyone has been so concerned for Drakey so I just wanted to say that he is great. He hasn't let his first major injury slow him down at all. After the first few days the swelling went down a lot and then the actual bruising got darker. He is still busy and always on the move. And as my mom says, this is probably the first of many toddler-age battle wounds.

These are the markers that Drake got for Christmas. It was so funny because Grant just kept saying over and over, "He is too young for markers" And I kept telling Grant "He needs to express his creativity" (as Drake keeps putting the markers in his mouth and sucking on them) As you can see it is much much more fun to color on skin than on paper... Good thing they wash off so easy

I have to credit this awesome idea to my friend, Dianne. Saw it on her blog and thought "Why

didn't I think of that??" Now I can get ready in peace

One of Drake's favorite things to do is RUN. Sometimes he just runs back and forth over and over again. Well tonight we were at Grant's parents' house and he was running between couches and then tripped into the hard part of the couch. And that's how Drake got his first black eye...

Christmas Time

I feel like the last few weeks have been a total blur! We have been having so much fun and I haven't had a chance to post any of it. So it's time to catch up :)

First is when we went to the zoo lights. It was so much fun even though is was so cold.

Drake loved these cats, they were the only animals we saw. He said "kitty"

Then Grant has had to work every holiday... Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and Day. So I spent a lot of time with my family at my mom's house. On Christmas Eve we had a party and dinner. And we were having a contest who could make the ugliest holiday sweater and we all wore them to the party. We ate and played games, it was really fun.

Then we had our Christmas morning at 4 am when Grant got home from work. So we woke up Drake and Logan didn't want to miss out cuz he woke up too. Me and Grant had so much fun watching Drake open his presents. We didn't take many pics but took LOTS of video. So I'll post some video later.
